Beijing, October 13, 2024- The "China Construction Exhibition" jointly organized by Qumei Home and Shimen Academy officially opened in Beijing on October 12. The theme of this exhibition is to explore the long history and unique charm of Chinese furniture, aiming to promote the integration and mutual learning of traditional furniture design concepts and modern design.
The exhibition takes Huang Bosi's "Yan Ji Tu" from the Southern Song Dynasty as the starting point, showcasing the first monograph on furniture design in Chinese history. At the opening ceremony, Zhao Ruihai, Chairman of Qumei Home Group, stated that Qumei Home will take this exhibition as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation with various sectors and jointly explore the future development path of Chinese home culture.
During the exhibition, experts and scholars from Tsinghua University School of Fine Arts, Shimen Academy, and various fields conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the evolution of Chinese furniture, the search for roots in modern design styles, and the value of modular modular design. This exhibition not only brings people a feast of home culture ideas, but also provides new ideas and directions for the innovative development of Chinese furniture.
